We
believe
the Holy
Bible is
the
divinely
inspired
word of
God and
that it
is the
final
authority
in
matters
of faith
and
practices
(2
Timothy
3:15-17;
2 Peter
1:20-21)
-
We believe the Trinity –
There is one true God, who is a Trinity or in Latin, [Trinitas;
tres, and unus, one, unity]. In theology, the union of
three persons in one Godhead: the Father, the
Son, and the Holy Ghost (Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7)
|
-
We believe the Lord
Jesus Christ is fully God. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the
second
Person of the Trinity. Jesus Christ is 100% God and 100% man. We
recognize Jesus Christ
as the Messiah; the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us. We
believe He came to
destroy the works of Satan, that He disarmed the rulers and
authorities and made a public
display of them, having triumphed over them (Matt 1:23; Luke 1: 31,
35; John 1: 1, 14; 1 John
3:8; Col 2:15)
|
-
We believe the Holy
Spirit is a Divine Person as truly are God the Father and God the
Son
(John 14:15-17; 16:5-15
|
-
We believe that
Salvation is a gift from God. We believe we are saved by grace
through faith
in Jesus Christ; Faith in his death, burial and resurrection
(Ephesians 2: 5-9, Galatians 2:16,
Titus 3:5-7).
|
-
We
believe
the
blood of
Jesus
Christ
is
sufficient
to
cleanse
us of
all sins
through
repentance
and
faith (1
John
1:7;
Revelation
1:5,
5:9;
Colossians 1:20).
|
-
We believe
Repentance is a commitment to turn away from sin in every area of
our lives and
to follow Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38, 3:19)
|
-
We believe Water
Baptism is commanded by the word of God for every new convert. Baptism by water and Holy Communion are practices ordained by Jesus
Christ for all
believers (Matthew 28: 19-20; Mark 16:16; Acts 10: 47-48; Romans
6:4; 1 Corinthians 11:26)
|
-
We believe in the
Baptism of the Holy Spirit – When a believer receives the baptism in
the
Holy Spirit, he has the potential to manifest that experience by
speaking in other tongues. We ask our heavenly Father to fill us with his Holy Spirit; to lead
us into all truth; and to
empower our life so that we may live above sin and not carry out the
desire of the flesh. We
believe the Holy Spirit enables us to walk in love as God has loved
us. We present our bodies
as living sacrifices unto God and crucify the flesh. We choose to
walk in the spirit (Acts 1:4-5, 8, Acts 2:2-4; Ephesians 5:18; John 16:13; Galatians 5:18, Romans
12:1; Galatians 5: 25).
